Why We Do This
The Heart Behind the Mission in Houston, Texas
Every great mission begins with a spark of inspiration, but sustaining that spark requires a steady foundation. As an advisor and consultant, my goal is to help you build an organization that doesn’t just survive, but truly flourishes.

Why I Started August Brook
I founded August Brook to serve as a sanctuary of strategic growth, clear guidance, and foundational design for non-profit startups and purpose-driven organizations. Every great humanitarian mission begins with a powerful spark of inspiration. However, transforming that spark into a lasting legacy requires a structured, resilient foundation. As an advisor and consultant, my life’s work is to ensure your organization doesn’t just survive the early startup waters, but truly matures and flourishes.
When I first stepped into the intersection of technology, user experience, and product architecture, I had to navigate the winding, often turbulent waters of building a career completely on my own. I faced the sharp learning curves, wrestled with the macro-challenges of organizational architecture, and felt the deep isolation of trying to build something highly impactful without a map or a mentor.
I started this practice because I wanted to be the person I never had when I first started. I believe that founders, visionaries, and community champions who are called to do good in the world deserve access to the highest tier of strategic and technological excellence. I am sharing everything I have spent years mastering—the UX/UI frameworks, frontend methodologies, and systemic problem-solving principles —to pave a smoother, swifter path for the next generation of builders. The name itself carries my deepest intentions for our partnership: August represents the noble dignity, reverence, and profound weight owed to your mission, while Brook represents the continuous, life-giving flow of wisdom, renewal, and grace found in the living waters of faith.
My professional background bridges the gap between meticulous digital craftsmanship and high-level organizational strategy. As a hybrid UI/UX Designer and Front-End Developer , I have spent my career engineering clean systems, designing intuitive digital landscapes, and leading cross-functional alignment.
When you bring me on as a consultant or a board advisor, you gain a partner who understands the micro-details of user psychology and digital architecture just as deeply as the macro-realities of board governance and community advocacy.
My Core Approach:
Rooted Integrity: Grounding every organizational framework and technical decision in a rock-solid ethical code and a deep spirit of service.
Fluid Architecture: Streamlining your non-profit’s operational and digital user flows so that your day-to-day work is as seamless and natural as a running stream.
Empowering Education: I do not believe in making you reliant on a consultant. My ultimate success is teaching, equipping, and elevating your team so you can confidently steer your own ship.
Whether you are a non-profit founder mapping out your very first initiative, or an established organization seeking an intuitive advisor to breathe fresh clarity, structure, and technological foresight into your board of directors—I am here to help you navigate the journey.
You don’t have to build this alone. Let’s establish a foundation that stands the test of time.
